American Diorama Mijo Exclusive 1:64 Car Culture figures

I decided to do a photo reference list of American Diorama Mijo Exclusive figure sets that relate to a car culture theme. Since these sets are limited edition runs and are only available at specialized hobby stores or online retailers, it may be difficult to find out-of-production figure sets. The photos link to an Amazon.com search. From shopping around, I’ve found Amazon.com usually has the widest range of available sets as well as a lower shipping cost.

This is an incomplete list of Mijo Exclusive figure sets with a car culture theme. The listing is mainly figure sets I’m looking for or figure sets that I’ve purchased. I only included sets I could find photos for. In the case I own one of the sets, I’ll include a brief description of my impressions of that product as well as any other relevant information. I’ll update this page from time-to-time to include new releases.

Liberty Walk: This set included five figures — four male and one female — in various standing poses. The male figures all had the LB logo on the right upper chest and the female had the LBWK logo across the front of hoodie. All figures had a larger, more legible LB logo on the back of the shirt. The models were well painted and four of them were capable of free standing. One figure was in a leaning pose and stood up well when placed next to a car.

LB Nation: This is a companion set to the Liberty Walk set above. The set includes four male figures and a female child figure. All of the figures have Liberty Walk branded attire. The female and child figures are free standing. Only one of the male figures (the one on the left in the product image) will stand on its own. Two of the male figures are in leaning poses and will stand upright if propped against a car. The kneeling figure doesn’t seem well balanced and tips over. I couldn’t get it to stand on its own until I put a little piece of Blue Tac under one if its feet. Like the Liberty Walk set, this set is painted very well.

Liberty Walk Canopy: This is a nice little detail set that includes two die cast canopies and four support poles for each canopy. The support poles slide into a hole in the canopy — like a dowel joint. Most of the support poles had some flashing along the mold line that had to be filed down so the support pole would fit inside the hole in the canopy. There’s is also a blue canopy kit I see from time to time as well as a Rauh-Welt Begriff Canopy set to go along with Rauh-Welt Begriff figure set that includes a figure of Akira Nakai. Those show up on Amazon.com occasionally but are in the $50 price range.
