I was really pleased to add this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback to my collection. I stumbled across it at my local Walmart, which rarely has Majorette diecast cars in stock. Majorette, sometime called the “Matchbox of France,” doesn’t get a lot of shelf space where I live. I’d like to see more Majorette stock in my area because the French company produces some highly detailed, very good looking cars.

The Fastback was a great addition to my collection, but there were a few flaws on the grille, which can be seen in the slideshow below. The orange flake paint really sets off the yellow and orange flames tampo on the hood and sides of the car. The model has two working doors that show off a detailed interior when opened.
The Ford Mustang logo is also visible on the front quarter panels, the grille and covering the keyhole on the car’s trunk. The model comes with rubber tires and chromed six-spoke rims. Another nice touch is that the model’s headlights are molded into the windshield, so that adds a nice touch to the front of the vehicle.
There was some noticeable chipping on the grille and the inside edges of the doors are unpainted. But, those are relatively minor defects in the vehicle. The metal showing on the doorframes is only visible if the doors are open.
I’d like to find one more Fastback to add to my collection. If I can find a second one, I’d like to drill out the posts on this one and do a custom paint job on the interior. I’d also like to add some panel lining to the vehicle as well as repaint the chipped area of the grille. The model also has mirrors, but the actual mirror has orange flake paint. I’d like to add some silver there as well.
There might be one or two other things I’d like to customize, but the paint job won’t be among the changes. I really like the color scheme and tampo on this vehicle. Even through its freed from its package, it will remain a display vehicle.
